My real name is Charlotte, but I am also known as Lotte.
I am a 24-year-old bio-engineer student (graduated June 2008) from Belgium. I major’ed in the environmental technologies, with a specific interest for waste water treatment (I wrote my thesis on the subject). As a minor, I followed subjects concerning agricultural and environmental economics.
Since November 2008, I’m working for the Belgian government as an ecotoxicologist. I handle Belgian and European application dossiers on biocides.

My native language is Flemish, but I also speak some French (improving since I work in a bilingual environment) and, of course, English. I’m also learning a little Japanese through a Nintendo DS game and by watching far too many Jdoramas .

Recently I got rather obsessed over Japan. It all started with j-dorama’s and extended to j-rock, manga and my love for the language.

My preferred type of music is rather alternative. My bands usually get categorized under metal, but I don’t always agree.

I love to read and since I have to travel 3 hours every day going to and returning from my work I can read plenty.
Lately my reading has been restricted to manga, as they tend to swallow up my entire conscience thinking, making my train rides sufficiently shorter.

Fandom

Harry Potter was my very first fandom. I loved and love the series, although I didn’t really like the final chapter of book 7. Totally unnecessary IMO. I’m a Draco lover and Fire & Ice shipper.

I’m totally addicted to the CW show Supernatural, where I’m completely devoted to my Sam .

I have fallen head over heals over Doctor Who and it’s spinoff Torchwood. Truely two amazing series!

I want to make Ogori Shun my husband ever since I fell in love with j-dorama’s.

Manga is my new craze. I’m currently reading Detective Conan, Monster and Death Note.
