Livejournal layouts
History
This is where it all started for me: livejournal.
I created my personal blog – gawariel – in September 2003. My layout was a default generator one, because I didn’t know one could customize their own layout. I was absolutely clueless about HTML and had never even heard about CSS!
But then I felt the need to create my own style, create a layout that fit me and I started searching the internet.
The world of design and code opened up to me and I have never looked back since!
I created a community on livejournal – gawariel_design – to store all the layouts I made and perhaps make other people happy with them.
I have always been overwhelmed with how much love I got and get from my members. They are the reason why the community still exists and why I expanded to a website.

All my livejournal layouts are stored at gawariel_design and this will remain so.
You will need to become a member of the community to be able to view the layouts, but other than that it is completely free!

Commissions
Sometimes I will decide to do a commissions at my community.
This means that I give my members the chance to buy a custom layout from me, completely designed to their needs and desires. These commissioned layouts are fairly cheap, considering the time and effort I put in them to give the commissioner exactly what they want:
- Journal layout:
MINIMUM price for a basic layout with graphics and CSS is $15 (USD). I can ask for more if:- your layout required lots of work
- your layout contained some difficulties
- your layout includes user/theme layers
- the requester changed their minds frequently
- Profile layout:
A profile matching the requested layout will cost $8 (USD).
A profile layout made out of scratch (also if you only request a profile layout) will cost $10 (USD) - Extra graphics:
Price depends on the time spend on making them, but it will never be more then $5 (USD)
To apply for a commission, you need to be a member of the community and you’ll need to wait for me to post an entry there stating that I am open for commissions.
The number of commissions I do is always limited to leave me time to create free layouts and graphics.
